Photochemical effects of ultraviolet light
1.Reduce TOC concentration - medium pressure UV irradiation can decompose organic molecules in swimming pools;
2.Improve the clarity of pool water - after using the UV system, the transmittance (T10) of pool water increased from 75% to 95%;
3.Reduced THMs (Trihalomethanes) - The photochemical capacity of the UV system and the reduced amount of chlorine added after the system was introduced resulted in lower THMs concentrations in the swimming pool.
